Yoga for winter cleanse

Join Asia for this new XXL class where we’re going to explore how Yoga practice can support and strengthen cleansing and detoxifying abilities of our bodies. In this XXL class you will learn all about it while following carefully designed yoga sequence. You will learn how to practice and what to practice to support your body in this incredibly important, ever-ending cleaning job.

We choose for this practice the beginning of winter season, when our bodies can use some extra attention for releasing toxins and getting rid of physical and mental waste.

Our bodies are constantly exposed to various toxins, whether from the environment, our diet, or the stresses of daily life. These toxins can accumulate in our cells, tissues, and organs, leading to a range of health issues such as fatigue, digestive problems, and even chronic diseases.

Fortunately our bodies have incredible abilities to cleanse themselves, they are equipped with effective systems to manage waste and toxins removal. Kidneys and liver filter waste products and toxins from blood releasing them through urine, digestive system removes toxins as faeces, skin releases sweat and lungs exhale CO2 and other unwanted gases.

All those systems and organs benefit from the regular Yoga practice. But there is one particular system that benefits from yoga the most and needs a regular support to work properly: lymphatic system.

Lymphatic system is the one that truly helps to detoxify the body – it’s our housekeeping system, our waste collection system.

It removes excess of fluids, collects waste produced by cells, delivers bacteria and cancerous cells to the lymphatic nods where they can be destroyed and absorbs some unwanted fats from intestines.

Unlike blood circulatory system, which has a heart to pump blood through the vessels, lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump. It relies on a movement and right exercises to make the fluid (lymph) flow.

Lymphatic system loves yoga and especially Hatha Yoga. All the techniques and practices that we are going to use are designed to support your body’s natural cleansing processes and leave you feeling lighter, brighter, and more energized.

What to expect:

  • Well balanced Hatha yoga practice with Yang and Yin elements: we are going to practice active yoga poses to engage large muscles and passive, relaxed, long stretches in a Yin yoga spirit.
  • Asanas stimulating lymphatic system
  • Asanas for better digestion, improved kidney and liver work
  • Asanas for cleansing lungs and respiratory system
  • Breathing exercises and Pranayama
  • Gentle massage with the tennis balls and therapeutic balls to get even deeper into the certain body parts (sometimes yoga poses are not enough!)
  • Mindful movement with the focus on the inner experience
  • Plenty of modifications so that you can cater to your own needs
  • Stimulation of the vagus nerve
  • Final relaxation for mental clarity
