Hatha, Nidra & Meditation (English)

This XXL class is a full Hatha Yoga experience. Yoga is more than just physical movement, and in this session, we’ll take the time and create space to bring together all the limbs and elements of yoga. The result is a wholesome, integrated practice that resonates on all levels: physical, mental, and spiritual.
In today’s world, when we talk about yoga practice, we often think only of asana (yoga postures) or pranayama (breathing techniques). But yoga is much more than that. In its authentic form, yoga is primarily a practice of meditation, and the other limbs are designed to prepare us for that deep inner stillness.
The Full Hatha Yoga Practice Involves:
- Asana – The physical practice of yoga poses to build strength and flexibility, and to prepare the body for stillness in seated meditation
- Pranayama – Breathing exercises to feel centred and to evoke a sense of calm and inner peace
- Pratyahara – The practice of turning inward and withdrawing from the distractions of the outer world, allowing you to reconnect with yourself
- Dharana – Concentration practice to train the mind to stay focused on one point without drifting
- Dhyana – Meditation practice to experience full presence and stillness
All of these practices help to bring harmony between body and mind, support a steady flow of energy, and develop the ability to concentrate, reflect, and be present.
When concentration becomes effortless and continuous, meditation begins.
What You’ll Experience in This Class:
In this session, we dive into two deeply connected yogic traditions:
- Sivananda Hatha Yoga – A classical sequence of postures and breathing practices designed to create grounding, balance, and focused awareness
- Yoga Nidra – Also known as “yogic sleep,” this guided practice leads you inward, enhancing concentration and fostering deep relaxation and harmony between body and mind
We will conclude the practice with seated meditation to integrate and absorb the experience

In regular weekly classes, we often don’t have time to explore all the layers of yoga or understand how they connect. This class is a chance to truly experience what yoga is really about — beyond just movement or breath. When all the elements come together, the full beauty and depth of yoga unfolds.
