Anusara Yoga is for everybody, and Every Body. The word Anusara means “To Follow the Heart” or “To Align with Nature”. If you are just beginning yoga, my assistant Ragen and I will take care of you so that you can just enjoy moving and doing some yoga poses, and we’ll align our bodies in the way that they naturally want to be aligned. If you are more experienced at yoga, we’ll also enjoy some more challenging variations, while learning the more subtle practice of ‘following the Heart’. We’ll conclude with an effortless seated meditation and relaxation.

Students love the clarity and precision of Jayendra’s teaching, especially when it comes to how to do and teach the poses, explanations of the philosophy of the yoga tradition, and the practice of meditation. He’s from the U.S., but he lived in Amersfoort for many years, and has been the lead teacher in many Anusara Yoga Teacher Trainings. Jayendra started his practice of hatha yoga and meditation in 1977, and began teaching yoga fulltime in 1997. Besides having the highest level of certification in Anusara Yoga, he is also an authorized teacher of Neelakantha Meditation as taught in Blue Throat Yoga.
